Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 8 July 2026
Company Identity
The service is operated by SZLK LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16843016, with registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. References to "SZLK", "we", "us", or "our" mean SZLK LTD unless a product-specific supplement states otherwise.
Applicable Products
This document is designed as the ecosystem-level legal text for SZLK products. A product may add a product-specific supplement for its service description, data flows, pricing model, content risks, or jurisdictional scope. If there is a conflict, the product-specific supplement applies only to that product and only to the extent of the stated conflict.
Scope
This policy applies to paid subscriptions, one-time purchases, digital credits, generated reports, digital downloads, lifetime access, trials, and other paid entitlements offered by SZLK products unless a product-specific supplement gives a more specific rule.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights. Users may have rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, online and distance selling rules, EU consumer rules, or local consumer protection laws depending on where they live and what they bought.
Cooling-Off and Goodwill Refund Window
As a shared baseline, SZLK products should offer a clear 14-day refund window for first purchases unless the product-specific supplement states a legally compliant exception. If a product offers a longer goodwill period, that longer period controls for that product.
Digital Content and Immediate Access
Some digital content or generated assets may be delivered immediately. Where applicable law permits cancellation rights to be affected by immediate supply, the product must make the user aware before purchase and collect any required acknowledgement or consent in the checkout flow.
Subscriptions and Renewal
Subscription terms must state the billing period, renewal behaviour, price, included entitlements, cancellation path, and when access ends after cancellation. Cancelling a subscription prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically refund past charges unless the refund rules or law require it.
One-Time Purchases, Credits, and Downloads
For one-time purchases, credits, generated reports, files, or downloadable assets, the product supplement must state when the item is considered delivered, whether unused credits expire, whether viewed or downloaded outputs are refundable, and how failed delivery is remedied.
Refund Method and Timing
Approved refunds should be returned to the original payment method where practical. Processing times depend on payment providers and banks. The product should acknowledge refund requests promptly and aim to process approved refunds without undue delay.
Possible Exceptions
Refunds may be refused or reduced where the law allows and where there is fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, breach of terms, already delivered digital content after required acknowledgement, excessive use, or a request outside the stated period. Any exception must be applied consistently and with regard to mandatory consumer rights.
Failed Delivery or Faulty Digital Content
If a paid digital entitlement is not delivered, cannot be accessed, is materially faulty, or does not match the product description, the product should first attempt repair, replacement, re-delivery, credit restoration, or other remedy. If a required remedy is not possible or not provided within a reasonable time, a refund may be required.
How to Request a Refund or Cancel
Each product must provide a visible cancellation or refund request path, such as account settings, support email, billing portal, or contact form. The product may request account email, order ID, payment reference, product name, purchase date, and a short description needed to verify and process the request.
